HISTORY

Fassett Lane Building & Home Center was established back in 1978 when Peder Hancher was in need of supplies for a construction company he was operating at the time.   It started out as a 1,200 square foot hardware store with only 5 employees.   Then in 1983 Fassett Lane made its first expansion, into a 2,500 square foot store, including a new warehouse, creating a total of 11 jobs.  In 1987 Fassett Lane again expanded.  This time into 18,000 square feet, as well as adding on a 2,000 square foot rental center.  Then in May of 1996 Fassett Lane made another big upgrade by buying the former Ford dealership, which turned out to be the new Fassett Lane Home and Garden Showplace, adding another 5 jobs to Wellsville.  Then in October of 1996 their latest addition was made with their brand new Fassett Lane Building  and Home Center 20,000 square foot facility which employs 20 people, bringing a total of 33+ jobs to Wellsville, NY.

The Home Center carries lumber, hardware, plumbing, electrical supplies, kitchen and bath fixtures, paint and many more building products.

Fassett Lane is managed by Dan Peters, with Butch Calcote as assistant manager and Ann Brown as retail supervisor.
